What can I do if my iPad does not charge? Follow these steps...
Clean the charging port
- Check if the charging port is dirty. You can do this by shining a light in the port.
- Clean and remove any debris or grime gently.
- Firmly plug in the adaptor to try charging it again.

Try a different adaptor and Cable
- Use a different adaptor and plug it in. Check if the charging screen comes on in a few minutes.
Check for damage
- Check your charging cable and USB adapter for signs of damage. Do not use damaged accessories. You might need to use a different adaptor/cable.
Reboot
- Try rebooting the iPad.
- Note: If possible, let the iPad charge for a half hour. if the iPad is still unresponsive after that, please bring it in to the device clinic for an assessment.
