iPad 8th Generation typically takes 4 to 5 hours to a full charge. If the iPad is taking a lot longer than this to charge, it means that the battery is charging very slowly. This is what you can do.

Check ports and connectors

  • Look for any signs of damage to the adaptors, possible grime that is blocking the charging ports, or anything else that may be disrupting the connection.
  • Try a different adaptor or cable if it is damaged.

Close Running Application

  • Double tap the Home button and swipe up on each open app or game to close it.

Restart the iPad

  • A software on your iPad may have potentially bogged down the charging process. Restart your iPad by pressing and holding the power button until “slide to power off” appears on the screen.
